Wild animals are dying due to thirst and dehydration in the Nagarhole National Park
The forest fires that ravaged the National Park during early summer, have deprived many herbivores of their fodder. The
ruthlessly hot summer and delayed rains, have added to their misery. Many animals have been wandering from thirst and dehydration,
especially in the Titmatti and Veeranahosalli range of the National Park. Some enfeebled animals have already died. A wild
bison died due to dehydration in the Kanchammana Halli area, inside the National Park recently.
